      Product description

      Detailed description:

The BJP is one of the most versatile electromagnetic chucks. The coils are arranged in the chuck for maximum utilisation of their capacities. The BJP generates a high and uniform holding force with minimum warming of the working area. The electromagnetic chuck is easy to use due to the control unit. Simply press the button or turn the disconnect switch. You can adjust the magnetic holding force easily to create the ideal operating conditions. This operation can be partly or fully automatic due to the interconnection of a suitable control unit with the chuck and the machine control system. The BJP chucks are fed through the control unit by 110 V DC. Besides fluent regulation of the holding force, this unit also offers automatic demagnetization so that no residual magnetism remains in the workpiece after unclamping.

Traditional and proven BJP electromagnet for precision grinding

The BJP electromagnetic chuck plate represents a time-tested classic in the field of fixing ferromagnetic workpieces during surface grinding. This industrial electromagnet is designed to provide stable and uniform holding force across its entire active surface. It is an ideal choice for tool shops and engineering operations that require a reliable clamping system for both series and individual processing of medium to large workpieces. Thanks to the possibility of integration into the machine's control system, the clamping cycle can be easily automated, which significantly speeds up handling times.

Optimal transverse polarization for stable workpiece fixturing

The key advantage of the BJP series is its specific transverse pole pitch (a combination of steel and brass lamellae), which ensures optimal magnetic field distribution. This design allows for safe and firm clamping of a wide range of components, while effectively minimizing vibrations generated when the grinding wheel contacts the material. The result is excellent surface finish quality and high geometric and dimensional accuracy. Furthermore, by using an appropriate control unit, you gain the ability to continuously regulate the clamping force, which is invaluable for fine finishing grinding of delicate workpieces.

Robust waterproof construction with high regrind limit

BJP magnetic chucks from the Czech manufacturer Walmag are designed for maximum durability and long service life in demanding workshop environments. The magnet body is 100% waterproof, which provides perfect protection for the internal coils against the aggressive effects of cooling emulsions and fine grinding dust. In addition, the top pole plate has a high regrinding limit, which allows for regular restoration of the chuck's geometric accuracy for many years of intensive use. By investing in the BJP model, you get a robust and practically maintenance-free device with a fast economic return.

      Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Are your products made in the Czech Republic? Are your products made in the Czech Republic?

Yes, the entire process – from in-house development through design, production, to final assembly and testing – takes place directly in our plant in Kroměříž. This gives us full control over quality and allows us to flexibly tailor products to specific customer requirements.

What is the difference between permanent, electromagnetic, and electro-permanent systems? What is the difference between permanent, electromagnetic, and electro-permanent systems?

Permanent Magnets: Operate without electricity, activated mechanically by a lever. They are safe, mobile, and maintenance-free.
Electromagnets: Generate a magnetic field using coils powered by mains electricity. They possess immense strength, can clamp uneven surfaces, and allow force regulation, but require a constant power supply and backup sources.
Electro-permanent Magnets: Combine the advantages of both systems. They only require electric current for a fraction of a second for activation (magnetization) and deactivation. During operation itself, they do not need current, making them extremely safe even in the event of a power outage and preventing overheating.

Can your lifting magnets also be used for handling materials at high temperatures? Can your lifting magnets also be used for handling materials at high temperatures?

Conventional permanent magnets lose their strength at temperatures above 80 °C. However, for operations with higher temperatures, we offer special series (e.g. HOT lifting magnets) that can safely handle materials with temperatures up to 180 °C.

Why is it necessary to use a demagnetizer after machining? Why is it necessary to use a demagnetizer after machining?

Ferromagnetic materials retain residual magnetism after being exposed to a magnetic field (e.g., when clamped onto a magnetic chuck). This causes metal chips and dust to stick to the workpiece, which can damage tools or complicate further processing (e.g., painting, welding). Demagnetizers reliably remove this residual magnetism.

Do you provide service and revisions for your products?Do you provide service and revisions for your products?

Yes, for all our technologies, including older BUX, Walker, and Pilana brand products, we provide complete warranty and post-warranty service, repairs, overhauls, and original spare parts. We also perform mandatory periodic certifications, inspections, and load capacity testing of lifting magnets.

Do you also offer staff training?Do you also offer staff training?

Yes. As part of the delivery of our magnetic applications and large systems, we provide professional operator training to ensure that working with magnets is as efficient and safe as possible.

Due to the higher weight of our products, we cooperate with specialized pallet and parcel carriers who ensure safe handling.

How is the safety of lifting magnets purchased from the e-shop guaranteed? How is the safety of lifting magnets purchased from the e-shop guaranteed?

All lifting magnets comply with the strict ČSN EN 13155 standard and operate with a safety factor of 3+. This means that in a pull-off test (the so-called Air Gap test, which simulates a real air gap/dirt in operation), the magnet can lift more than three times its declared maximum load capacity.
