Demagnetization

Residual magnetism is a natural phenomenon that occurs in ferromagnetic materials after exposure to a magnetic field. In practice, however, it can cause problems – from the attraction of metal particles to reduced functionality of other devices. The solution is controlled demagnetization, where the workpiece is exposed to an alternating magnetic field with gradually decreasing intensity. This effectively removes residual magnetism without affecting the material's properties. WALMAG demagnetizers cover a wide range of applications – from manual use to fully automated operations. They enable reliable demagnetization of various types of workpieces, ensuring smooth production and proper functioning of magnetic devices.
In our offer you will find:
Table demagnetizer DM – suitable for flat and smaller cylindrical parts up to 40 mm thick
Handheld demagnetizer HD – designed for local demagnetization up to a depth of approx. 30 mm
Tunnel demagnetizer TDM – ideal for boxes or round parts with a wall thickness of up to 30 mm; in combination with a conveyor suitable for automated operations

    DM table demagnetizer

The DM benchtop demagnetiser is a compact device for the rapid demagnetisation of ferromagnetic components. It is used primarily prior to further processing operations, such as measurement, painting or assembly, where it is necessary to eliminate residual magnetism. The device is suitable for both manual use and integration into production lines. It can, for example, be installed beneath a belt conveyor, where it enables continuous demagnetisation without operator intervention. The demagnetiser can be used for various types of components that must be demagnetised for functional reasons or to meet the required output parameters. Key parameters: Application: demagnetisation of ferromagnetic components Technology: Electromagnetic (alternating magnetic field) Max. workpiece dimensions: 400 x 280 mm Duty cycle: 20 % Demagnetisation field height: up to 40 mm Power supply: 230 VAC / 50 Hz (optionally 110 V) Warranty: 2 years Applications Demagnetisation of tools, dies, bearings and other small components Elimination of residual magnetism prior to key manufacturing operations Flexible use – either as a stand-alone unit or as part of a production line Expansion of the working area by combining multiple units as required Included in the package: Demagnetiser Operating instructions Parameters: Model W (mm) L (mm) H (mm) Weight (kg) DM3 250 180 87 8,7 DM4 280 266 87 12,6 DM5 400 306 87 17,6

    HD hand-held demagnetizer

The HD handheld demagnetiser is a portable device designed for the targeted demagnetisation of ferromagnetic parts directly at their point of use. It enables the removal of residual magnetism even from large or complex components that are difficult to handle. It is used primarily during maintenance, assembly or repairs where it is necessary to quickly and effectively restore the required material properties without interrupting operations. Key specifications: Application: Demagnetisation of ferromagnetic components Technology: Electrical (alternating magnetic field) Duty cycle: 50% Max. continuous operating time: 5 min Depth of demagnetisation field: up to 30 mm Power supply: 230 V / 50–60 Hz (optionally 110 V) Warranty: 2 years Applications: Mobile demagnetisation of large, heavy or complex-shaped components Localised removal of residual magnetism without the need to handle the component Suitable for maintenance, servicing and assembly work For use with moulds, tools, bearings and machine parts Package contents: Demagnetiser Operating instructions Parameters: Model Active area (mm) Voltage (VA) Depth of the magnetic field (mm) Weight (kg) HD2 105 x 95 350 max. 40 2,2

    TDM demagnetizer

The TDM tunnel demagnetiser uses an alternating magnetic field to remove residual magnetism from ferromagnetic components. As the components pass through the tunnel, they are gradually demagnetised. The effectiveness of the demagnetisation depends on the correct selection of the passage opening size in relation to the dimensions of the components. To achieve the desired result, it is therefore important to select the appropriate type of equipment for the specific application. The demagnetiser is designed for integration into production lines, where it enables continuous demagnetisation of components without the need for manual handling. Key parameters: Application: Demagnetisation of ferromagnetic components Technology: Electrical (alternating magnetic field) Duty cycle: 100% (continuous operation) Power supply: 230 / 400 V / 50 Hz (depending on model) Warranty: 2 years Additional information: On request, we can supply a tunnel-type demagnetiser, including a conveyor belt, tailored to your specific application. Please contact us for a proposal for the optimal solution. Applications Continuous demagnetisation of parts on production lines Suitable for mass-produced components of various shapes and sizes For use in combination with belt or roller conveyors Elimination of residual magnetism without interrupting production Package contents: Demagnetiser Operating instructions Parameters Model Aperture (mm) Power supply (VAC/Hz) TDM5400 600 x 420 400/50 TDM4400 450 x 450 400/50 TDM2230 255 x 255 230/50 TDM2400 255 x 255 400/50 TDM1230 180 x 180 230/50 TDM1400 180 x 180 400/50

Digital meter for measuring magnetism MH-107

The MH-107 digital residual magnetism meter is used to measure residual magnetism in workpieces that have been exposed to magnetic clamping or other magnetic fields. A high residual magnetic field in a semi-finished product can cause problems during further processing (e.g. welding, machining, etc.) and, in finished products, can affect the functionality of certain equipment; therefore, it is sometimes necessary to monitor the strength of the residual magnetic field. If the residual magnetism is too high, you can remove it using our demagnetisers. Key specifications: Application: Measurement of residual magnetism Technology: Electronic device (battery-powered) Battery life: up to 130 hours Measuring range: 0–3000.0 mT Units: Gauss or kA/m Warranty: 2 years Uses: Checking residual magnetism on workpieces and components Verifying the effectiveness of demagnetisation after using demagnetisation equipment Measuring the magnetic field following magnetic clamping or other manufacturing operations Package contents: Measuring instrument Measuring probe Set of alkaline batteries User manual Parameters Model W (mm) L (mm) H (mm) Measuring range MH-107 79 119 24 0 - 199,9 G
