Demagnetization
Residual magnetism is a natural phenomenon that occurs in ferromagnetic materials after exposure to a magnetic field. In practice, however, it can cause problems – from the attraction of metal particles to reduced functionality of other devices. The solution is controlled demagnetization, where the workpiece is exposed to an alternating magnetic field with gradually decreasing intensity.
