      Product description

The MC series of magnetic grippers facilitate the manual handling of steel sheets, cut-to-size parts and other ferromagnetic loads. They help to reduce the physical strain on operators and improve safety when lifting and carrying materials.

Their compact design and low weight mean the grip can always be kept to hand. The robust construction ensures a long service life even with daily use in industrial environments.

Manual magnetic grips are intended exclusively for manual handling and must not be used as a suspension device for cranes or other lifting equipment.

      Ergonomic aid for safe handling

The MC magnetic grabber is designed to become a natural extension of the operator's hand in operations where frequent and quick handling of steel parts is required. Thanks to its ergonomic handle shape, it significantly reduces physical strain and protects hands from sharp edges, chips, or oil contamination. It is an ideal tool for removing cut-outs from sheets, moving smaller blanks, or sorting material where direct hand contact could lead to injury.

Easy handling and instant load release

The main advantage of the MC gripper is its simple mechanical release system. The magnet attaches to the load immediately upon application, but to release it, all it takes is a simple hand press on the control lever. This mechanism pushes the load away from the magnetic pole, allowing for smooth and fast work without unnecessary struggle with magnetic force. The entire process of putting down the part is thus smooth and without the risk of damaging the material's surface.

      Compact design and high durability

Despite its low weight and compact dimensions, the MC gripper boasts surprising gripping force, sufficient for safe handling of sheets and steel parts in a typical workshop environment. Its robust construction ensures a long service life even with daily intensive use. Thanks to its size, it easily fits into a tool bag or can always be kept at hand near a cutting machine or on an assembly line, where it helps increase work efficiency and maintain occupational safety standards.

      Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Are your products made in the Czech Republic? Are your products made in the Czech Republic?

Yes, the entire process – from in-house development through design, production, to final assembly and testing – takes place directly in our plant in Kroměříž. This gives us full control over quality and allows us to flexibly tailor products to specific customer requirements.

What is the difference between permanent, electromagnetic, and electro-permanent systems? What is the difference between permanent, electromagnetic, and electro-permanent systems?

Permanent Magnets: Operate without electricity, activated mechanically by a lever. They are safe, mobile, and maintenance-free.
Electromagnets: Generate a magnetic field using coils powered by mains electricity. They possess immense strength, can clamp uneven surfaces, and allow force regulation, but require a constant power supply and backup sources.
Electro-permanent Magnets: Combine the advantages of both systems. They only require electric current for a fraction of a second for activation (magnetization) and deactivation. During operation itself, they do not need current, making them extremely safe even in the event of a power outage and preventing overheating.

Can your lifting magnets also be used for handling materials at high temperatures? Can your lifting magnets also be used for handling materials at high temperatures?

Conventional permanent magnets lose their strength at temperatures above 80 °C. However, for operations with higher temperatures, we offer special series (e.g. HOT lifting magnets) that can safely handle materials with temperatures up to 180 °C.

Why is it necessary to use a demagnetizer after machining? Why is it necessary to use a demagnetizer after machining?

Ferromagnetic materials retain residual magnetism after being exposed to a magnetic field (e.g., when clamped onto a magnetic chuck). This causes metal chips and dust to stick to the workpiece, which can damage tools or complicate further processing (e.g., painting, welding). Demagnetizers reliably remove this residual magnetism.

Do you provide service and revisions for your products?Do you provide service and revisions for your products?

Yes, for all our technologies, including older BUX, Walker, and Pilana brand products, we provide complete warranty and post-warranty service, repairs, overhauls, and original spare parts. We also perform mandatory periodic certifications, inspections, and load capacity testing of lifting magnets.

Do you also offer staff training?Do you also offer staff training?

Yes. As part of the delivery of our magnetic applications and large systems, we provide professional operator training to ensure that working with magnets is as efficient and safe as possible.

How can I contact you if I am interested in a tailored solution? How can I contact you if I am interested in a tailored solution?

You can contact us by e-mail at info@walmag.cz, by phone at +420 573 341 641, or directly contact our regional sales managers for the Czech Republic and abroad, whose contact details can be found in the Contact section of our website.

How is heavy goods (e.g. clamping plates) delivered? How is heavy goods (e.g. clamping plates) delivered?

Due to the higher weight of our products, we cooperate with specialized pallet and parcel carriers who ensure safe handling.

How is the safety of lifting magnets purchased from the e-shop guaranteed? How is the safety of lifting magnets purchased from the e-shop guaranteed?

All lifting magnets comply with the strict ČSN EN 13155 standard and operate with a safety factor of 3+. This means that in a pull-off test (the so-called Air Gap test, which simulates a real air gap/dirt in operation), the magnet can lift more than three times its declared maximum load capacity.

Where can I find user manuals and technical documentation?Where can I find user manuals and technical documentation?

Technical sheets, catalogues, and operating instructions for individual products are available either on the product's page or upon request.
